This band.

This amazing band.

I love this amazing band.

This band that I’m talking about it The Cab, who just released their album, Symphony Soldier. My favorite song on their album is Bad. My obsession is bad.ImageImage And there’s their single.

My life is complete, I’ve found the perfect band. [Except for Sara Bareilles, who I will always love.]

I’ve known about this song since it first came out, but today I had my ipod on shuffle, and it came on and I remembered how much I love it. [Don’t ask me how I forgot it.]

This song is absolutely incredible. What song is this, you ask? Winter Song, by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.

Every time I listen to it, I am so overwhelmed with their beautiful harmony. Its just so pure, you know? There are absolutely no imperfections.

I just thought I would share it with you! If you haven’t heard it, I think you should go listen to it, and possibly purchase it.

How is your Tuesday so far? Mine was ehh. This song cheered me up. :]

I am beginning to write random music lyrics. Not complete songs, just random stanzas. I thought I would share them with the world, and see if they’re any good.

“You held my heart in your greedy hand

You crushed it, turned to sand,

Please, release me from these invisible chains,

Let me rest from these aches and pains.”

“You were the hand that pulled me to my feet,

You were so strong, so real, so sweet,

Made me feel something I’d never felt before,

But it all stopped once you closed the door.”

“So now I sit here

and stitch up my broken heart,

You tore it right in half,

Pulled it all apart.”

“You were an emotional terrorist,

A con artist of the heart,

Threw at me your lying fist,

And watched me fall apart.”

“It was like running with scissors.,

And playing with matches,

I knew there was a sickness,

But I wouldn’t catch it.”

“I’ll just keep on breathing,

To make sure I’m alive,

I’ll just listen to my heart,

And breathe in before I take another dive.”

“I think about you all the time,

You fill my brain and flood my mind,

I can’t function, my eyes can’t see,

Anything but you and me.”

There’s some of them! Please, pretty please, don’t take them. I worked really hard on them. And If you do, please give me the credit. Thanks, Lovelies. :]

What do you think?

I can resist no further. Here are my favorite lyrics of poet goddess Sara Bareilles.

1.”I’ve got a thick tongue, brimming with the words that go unsung, I simmer then I burn for a someone, the wrong one.”- Gonna Get Over You

2. “Feel the fire burning up, inspire me with blood of blue and green. I have hope, inside is not a heart, but a kaleidoscope.”- Kaleidoscope Heart

3.  ”My heart breaks in a heart beat and you storm me when you come and go, taste of something so sweet should have warned me bout the undertow.”-Undertow

4. “I don’t want to talk about it to you, I’m not an open book you can rifle through, The cold hard truth that you see right to, I’m just a basket case without you.”- Basket Case

5.  “Started as a flicker, meant to be a flame. Skin has gotten thicker, but it burns the same.”- Bottle It Up

6. ” I made up my mind when I was a young girl, I’ve been given this one world, I won’t worry it away. But now and again, I lose sight of the good life, I get stuck in the low light, and then love comes in.”- Many the Miles

7. ” If my hands could hold them, you’d see, I’d take all these secrets in me, and I’d move and mold them to be something I’d set free.”- Let the Rain

Does everyone remember the fist time they heard the       song “Bubbly”? That was a while back, wasn’t it?  Since  then, Colbie Callait has come out with two more albums, including her newest one, All of You. Her music makes me happy, because it’s so upbeat and light, and its perfect for a summer soundtrack. If you ever get the chance, I would suggest downloading her song “Brighter Than the Sun”.

But seriously, do you remember?

We Will Not Grow Old

I love it. I love the music so much. I love the music videos. I love her voice. I love Lenka.

The first song I ever heard by her was The Show, in ATPS. [for those of you who DONT follow the confessions of Georgia Nicolson, you should.] And I fell in love with it. Of course, at the time, I had no idea who the song was sung by, and I didn’t even think about looking at the soundtrack. It took me two years to figure it out, but it was totally worth it. For some reason, her music videos inspire me!  My favorite song by her is…um…all of them. LOVELOVELOVE.  I suggest listening to her music if you want to be happy. [:

Do you listen to Lenka?

A Love Letter of Sorts Dear Sara Bareilles, I’m not gonna write you a love song, but I might just be about to write you a love letter. I’ve always been hungry for words, a reader, a writer, a lyric aficionado.  I adore metaphors.  Counting Crows, for instance, they just kill me with the genius of the pictures they paint, the emotions they evoke with words.  Not a lot of artists can put their thumb into the hole in my heart and either make it throb almost unbearably or … Read More
