So I absolutely loved Louise Rennison’s first series, The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, and I mean I LOVED it. I’m actually re-reading it as we speak. (or read, or write, or…) This book, Withering Tights, is such a great read! It was hilarious, just as I suspected from good old Louise, and it was very cute. If you liked the confessions, you sure will love this. Although, I must say, The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson will always hold a special place in my heart as my favourite books of all time.

Right, well there you go! This book is fabbity fab, and I simply can’t wait for the next one.

Happy Sunday! :]

If your one of the millions of girls who have only seen the movie Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, I HIGHLY  recommend reading the books. I read them a couple years ago, and I still read the whole series every winter. I became rather attached the books, and when the series ended, I felt like crying. In fact, I did cry!

My friends and I were so weird. When we were reading the books, we made up our own little Ace Gang and named each other according to the characters in the book. I was Jas. (: We even had important Ace Gang meetings and did the Physical Attractiveness Test. After the test, my friend Jessica, (otherwise known as Georgia) was like,” Hey! Who gave me a four for my nose?!” haha it was fabbity fab.

So anyway, there are 10 books in the series:

  1. Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (1999)
  2. It’s OK, I’m Wearing Really Big Knickers (UK title) / On the Bright Side, I’m Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God (US title) (2001)
  3. Knocked Out by my Nunga-Nungas (2002)
  4. Dancing in my Nuddy-Pants (2003)
  5. …And That’s When It Fell Off in My Hand (UK title) / Away Laughing on a Fast Camel (US title) (2004)
  6. …Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers (2005)
  7. Startled by His Furry Shorts (2006)
  8. Luuurve is a Many Trousered Thing (UK title) / Love is a Many Trousered Thing (US title) (2007)
  9. Stop in the Name of Pants! (UK and US title) (2008)
  10. Are These My Basoomas I See Before Me? (2009)

Georgia and The Sex God

Georgia and the movie cover.
The legendary book cover that started it all. I read it about 1000 times. I’m what you call an expert.

Anyway, these books are hilarious, riveting, and at times, really sad. Every book leaves you wanting more. So go and read them.
